Rachel Ray is NOT a Terrorist

In spite of what you might have read, Rachel Ray, the perky spokesperson for Dunkin Donuts, is not a terrorist. Apparently (as I have said before) political correctness has run amok yet again.

I do not understand how blogger Michele Malkin can claim that the scarf Rachel wears in a Dunkin’ Donuts Internet spot is really a symbol in support of terrorism. I thought the “keffiyeh” was a traditional garment worn by many Arabs in the Middle East and was nothing more than a garment worn to protect from sun, sand and dust?

This is where we get into the political correctness issue. First, Dunkin’ Donuts should be ashamed of themselves for not telling Ms. Malkin to get a life. This was an Internet spot to sell coffee and such! Next you will hear that subliminal images were also present in the ad in support of terrorist activity. Unfortunately the donut folks took the easy way out and caved. And until we all stand up to this foolishness we will continue to be subjected to more idiot opinions.

As TVBR www.tvbr.com said in today’s column, “Geez. If somebody commits an atrocity while wearing an American flag pin, does that make it the chosen uniform of atrocity committers?”

See how stupid this can all get!

The bad news is I think there is NO limit to how stupid political correctness can get. The good news is that this example means one less time I have to look at Rachel Ray, who has become the most overexposed personality since Martha Stewart at her peak.
