So Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize…
What do you think of that? Well, for a guy who still believes he won the 2000 election, it probably made his day. But the bigger story here is the politics of the Nobel Committee. The Peace Prize has become as much a political statement as it has been anything else from the Liberal Dominated Norwegians. Hey, Kofi Annan, Gorbachev and Yasir Arafat have also won the dubious prize. Read the attached article by Doug Patton for a view the Liberal establishment may not like www.theconservativevoice.com.
They say this may force Gore to run for President. Somehow I don’t think Hillary is going to lose any sleep–but hey, the idea is getting play.
I did not see “the movie” but my liberal friends who did really did not like it and realized that the science it talks about is possible; however, it’s at the extreme edge of the realm of actions that COULD happen in the next 100 years (http://radioequalizer.blogspot.com/2007/10/al-gore-nobel-peace-prize-win-rush.html).
We all agree that we need to better protect our environment, but please, lets find a better spokesperson than some washed up Ex-Vice President who’s carbon footprint at his Tennessee mansion is obscene.
Let’s take politics out of the Peace Price award and make it more legitimate like the Chemistry prize. I mean come on, Yasir, Kofi and Gorbachev all won this dubious prize.

Al,
First, let me say that I agree that Al Gore’s work on climate change may not fit Mr. Nobel’s criteria to awarded the Peace Prize,
But whether or not deserves the Prize, he should be applauded for bringing the issue of global climate change to the forefront. You are using an outdated conservative argument. Climate change is not something that “might happen sometime.” It is happening now and, in fact, at a faster rate than Gore predicted in the documentary. Most folks on both ends of the political spectrum agree with that.

The debate isn’t whether the climate is changing (it is), it’s whether humans are impacting it.
Those in favor of “GLOBAL WARMING” (as opposed to climate change) want to stifle the debate. They want to blame humans and their “evil” capitalism for climate change based on ice core samplings that even the scientists that study them admit leech out CO2 over millenia so their estimates are exactly that ESTIMATES.

Of course, it’s fox news so the “Al Gore’s” of the world that believe in man-induced global warming will say this article is part of “the vast right wing conspiracy.”
